Title: removing wing mirrors

hello all,

im planning to viynal wrap my mirrors, anyone no how to remove the painted shell part??

There's a guide i usee from the golfmkv site. It's linked here. You'll need Torx t10 screwdriver, some flat long instruments and a feck load of patience. Search for 'inpro' on this site.

Its a peice of cake, just be very careful when pulling off the wing mirror glass in this Hot weather :wink: I think 4 to remove the curcular tilt unit and 2 screws for the lower indicator lense screws. Unplug 2 wires for the electric tilt and it slides off  :wink:

may sound a stupid question, but does the mirror glass just pull of??

Yes, has 2 attached wires aswel that pull off. Just trying to find you a guide I used to change mine.
