Cool Thanks
Let me know what it is like when you get it back from him!
I have had an APR chip before but that was in an Audi TT
Would like to see what these flash ones are like

You get what you pay for with maps - I wonder how much R&D time has been put into developing this map, whether it is a map they have developed or brought in from eastern europe. Just make sure you do your research before going down the mapping route. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it normall is, you get what you pay for when it comes to mapping. If you are prepared to use these types of services I would be making sure that I dyno'd the car before and after and doing as much logging as possible. Map may well give you the power, but how is this being achieved - for example, are EGT's running high etc......
Just my two pence worth :happy2:

This is what i had went for the M-Flash. :star: As i am from N.Ireland..
Just went for a short run in the car....
It is like a new car all over again, i found i was either getting used to the way the car was driving or the car was slowing down, which i doubt very much... it is more responsive in every-gear, much much more smoother & best of all it feels more aggresive to drive. :jumpmove: :jumpmove: :jumpmove:
This has pushed it to approx 260 bhp + a few extra's :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:...
I feel very happy again.. a big thank you to Jason at www.more-bhp.com...
I explained what mod's i had done & he worked his magic.
I spoke to Jason on the phone before i started and he kept me right..
It was simply just plug & play, followed the online & onscreen instructions and that was that..
I will play over the next lot of days & let you know how i get on, but very happy now.
One thing i noticed was Jason really likes GTI's, so in my eyes that was even better. :jumping: :jumping:
I had mentioned about the www.mk5gti.co.uk site. He is willing to offer 10% to all mk5gti site users :happy2:
Yes if you dont ask you dont get...
:congrats: :congrats: :congrats:
i just want to keep driving again.... :signLOL:
To see all the available models that M-Flash can remap through the diagnostic socket
Due to many customer requests More-BHP bring you the latest personal tuning tool M-Flash with the very best software for customers who want true versatility and for customers who are simply too far away to take advantage of the high quality service of our workshop or mobile service.
What is M-Flash ?
We supply you with the M-Flash, a hand-held unit that you plug into the OBD socket of your car. The M-Flash is easy to use - you just follow the instructions on the screen. Within a few minutes the M-Flash remote will have read the car's software. This software can be emailed to us for tuning. The M-Flash is something you keep and use when needed. The M-Flash Console and full instructions can be downloaded here.
What vehicles does the M-Flash unit cover ?
Click Here For the FULL List but in short it covers many European makes and models including some of the more challenging later ECUs fitted by BMW and the Volkswagen Audi Group.
Why use M-Flash Tuning ?
1. Many customers are just too far away to visit us at our workshop but are eager to benefit from the More-BHP tuning.
2. The customer wants the ability to swap between original and tuned maps. Maybe a lease or company car that needs to go in for warranty or service work. Or switch between economy and race.
3. The customer changes their car regularly and needs a unit that can be moved to their next car with just the cost of a re-tune required.
4. Tuning is convenient - as soon as you receive the unit then you can start the tuning. No appointments are needed.
5. The M-Flash has the useful function of being able to read and clear engine management lights just like a fault code reader.
Can the M-Flash be used on more than one car ?
The standard M-Flash is designed to tune just one car at a time. It will be locked to your car until you return the car to original progamming. You can then re-use the M-Flash on your next car and only need to buy a new remap file. We can supply an unlocked version of the M-Flash that can tune any number of cars and this is priced at £2,150 - suitable for garages wanting to become More-BHP dealers.
How much does the M-Flash cost ?
The M-Flash hardware is available at an extra cost of just £149 on top of the standard remap price. If you require more than one stage of remap file the aditional files are priced as follows - EDC15/ME7 £100, EDC16/ME9 £150, EDC17/MED17 £250, Siemens/Sagem/EECV tuning files available from £100 - please ask for the price.
Are there other similar products in the market place, if so what makes yours better ?
Most widely known would be Superchips Bluefin and Dreamscience. The M-Flash compares favourably in terms of the hardware - it is made by one of the world's leading manufacturers of tuning tools - constantly developed to bring you accessibility to tune the very latest models easily and totally reliably. The M-Flash, software though, is unrivalled in it's outstanding quality. Each tune is written from scratch to ensure continued organic improvements - we do not just pull a file of the shelf like some of the competition. With the M-Flash you can move the programmer to your next car - you dont have to pay a fee to use it again - you just pay for a new suitable tune

Glad you like it Scopey.

Dont know who you are scopes, and have never heard of this re-map company, so i am not to happy about you plastering adverts all over this thread, anybody who goes out and gets a new map is going to be excited, this does not mean it is the best thing since sliced bread.
Can i just say to our members that this forum does not endorse this company or its maps and if you go ahead and get this cheap map on your car dont come crying on these pages.

thing is with superchips you know they have extensively tested their software n cars for hours on a dyno, and offer a warrantee of some sorts if their software caused an issue.
out of interest scopes, is your name Jason...

When i saw the first 2 posts this morning, i was about to reply asking if it was spam, but thought it best not to, but now i kinda wish i had lol
Where is the proof of this magical Stage 1 60bhp map? Have you got an RR graph? Or does it just feel 60bhp quicker cos i'd love a butt dyno that can measure so well :popcornsoda:
-
I did a lot of research into this company before I bought their M-Flash product in the new year.Like Scopes I also spoke personally with Jason armed with some probing questions gleaned from various posts from this excellent forum.
I was totally assured and purchased.
I have,nt advertised the fact purely on the basis that I paid nearly half the price a major tuner is offering and did,nt want the "get what you paid for" quote,(which I'm of the opinion any member who does quote that is only looking after my back).
I understand TC when asking scopes to stop advertising an unknown company to members, it is unknown on here and thats spot on TC for protecting the membership.
I,ve known about this company for over 2 years and the cars that have used them, one of which was the red polo gti that joined us last year at santa pod. That had an R32 owner scratching his head wondering what the hell was in there.. :signLOL:
I joined the recent seatcupra.net rolling road along with Jonno and JPC... 3 runs 260bhp.
This is more than "major" tuners are stating from a stage 1 I know..Jason when asked quoted a "nice 250".. Maybe the rollers were out.
I,m happy with it and fully understand members comments, like I said, its not sour grapes just good guys watching out for us tight arses.

Just a little info from the 'inside'
M-Flash is a generic flash tool that is made by a company called Alientech. You buy 50+ units at a time and get your own company stickers to glue on the front. Its a good tool, simple to use but they have their drawbacks on some vehicles.
The tools are not locked to any paticular company in most cases meaning that the software you can write to the ECU could be bought from anywhere, as long as its an open binary coding.
On a personal opinion, the OP of this post probably has 235-240bhp in reality, I have tuned, mapped and tested lots and lots of stage 1 200bhp TFSi's over they years on various dynos and never seen more than 250ish, but I am always open to be corrected, just because I cant do it, doesnt mean that someone else cant.
What scares me is that these tools are using files that have been emailed about from tuner to supplier and then back to the customer, no datalogging, no testing, no on-car development etc.... I would reccomend that the OP gets their car to someone with VAGCOM that can datalog the intake air temps, requested and actual boost pressures, timing pull and most importantly the EGT's (exhaust gas temps) and fuel rail duties as if it is really making 260bhp as quoted then I bet EGT's are sky high!
-
I,m sure one of the skoda chappies said shark performance use the same box.
VRSsy,whats sharks stage one quote?.
PDT.. Its a done thing, first chance I can its getting Vagcommed and thumbs up for the above post.
I,m finding my graph out tonight and posting it up for the experts.

-
Glad to hear it.
Personally I would prefer that this had all been done during the remap process rather than having a generic file flashed to the ECU and then left it to me to work out if its all working OK. This can lead to problems, i.e say you find that you have zero timing pull and want a few more degrees added or the requested boost is too low, surely the customer shouldnt be left to find this out and be expected to rectify this themselfes, but you get what you pay for :happy2:
-
Hi PDT
Just been on your website and noticed you have an offer on for us cash strapped members of £195
Is this for the Golf GTI ??
Thanks in Advance
-
Hi,
This offer covers small engined diesels only I am afraid. i.e 1.9 tdi MK4 golfs / 306 HDI's etc...
Our basic price for a stage1 200bhp TFSi is £299 inc dyno testing and on-road datalogging
-
Thats still V good !
:happy2: :happy2:
I ll call you this week to organise a little visit !
-
I,m sure one of the skoda chappies said shark performance use the same box.
VRSsy,whats sharks stage one quote?.
I,m finding my graph out tonight and posting it up for the experts.
they quote 240 Hp which is exactly what my car made at the last rolling road day. she made 24)hp @ 5000rpm then flattened out until 6250rpm. torque was 270Ibft between 3-3.5k rpm. tailed off abit though, hopefully the intake will cure that a bit more with some more air flow
-
I,ve just read abz001 entry on the inters thread. He quotes a simple stage one from shark giving 257bhp.
-
she has the same map as me, so do you really think there is a 17H difference, i very much doubt it, its a different rolling road, and as a result will never give the same output, although upto about 5k mine and hers are pretty much identical before i get heatsoak and power dies off.
most of the guys with the shark performance map have all had the same results as mine pretty much, so what your seeing is either a very good car, or dyno lottery.
Dont get hung up on figures, realistically stage 1 will give 235-245Hp. they can quite easily make more power, but then you wil be pushing high EGTs, and timing etc, cars making higher outputs, miht not necessarily be faster on the road either as thy can be peaky in their output.
-
Heres my Graph... I agree your point on the figures..So reckon its 240 to 245 which is standard for a stage 1 so I,m happy with my map.
Unless you guys see any problem here..... :popcornsoda:

-
Just out of curiosity, I am guessing that graph was done on the same day as the infamous Seat Cupra dyno day?
-
Correctomundo dude.. :signLOL:
I,m guessing it was a fubar day..If its any help I went on before Jay in his S3.
-
I dont know the details but we had a lot of cars come to our dyno the following week asking for power runs as they had achieved crazy high figures on that dyno that day, many of the cars had been previously tuned by us.
-
There was some issue after Jay had run his S3.. I,m not quite sure of the details.
You,ve seen the graph,I accept its running high..As I said a few posts earlier I reckon on low to mid 240,s.. Thats about right for stage1
Whererabouts are you based PDT?
