Guys - What's involved with fitting and where's it actually sit on the vehicle?
Part number and a price would be a bonus please
VCDS tells me I've got an error with it and also my windows do the weird thing where they hit the top when you click the switch to elevate them, then they shoot back down again when they hit the top :fighting: I'm aware it's a known bug and a goof few of us have experienced it.
Thanks,
Pete.

Not yet Stu, sorry mate :ashamed:
I think there's other threads on here for it but I'm not sure if they're the right part numbers for my vehicle

What year car is it and passenger or drivers side along with extras like electric folding mirrors etc
VW changed the module in 2007 and later ones are not compatible with older ones as they also decided to change the pinouts :chicken:
Be warned you are looking at around £200 from the dealer
You need to take the interior door panel off and its fitted with 3 bolts, 10 min job to change once the door panel is off
Its the white part in the centre of the door

If it's the white part, what's the part circled?
£200 is a lot I must admit. I'll just have to catch a used one from the bay then :chicken:
Is it simply a case of disconnecting the relevant wiring, unscrewing the existing one, screwing in the new one + re-connecting the wires then go from there?
Cheers.

Its a picture 'borrowed' from another forum
You have to purchase the white assembly, the motor (the grey rectangle) and the black controller as one unit
Write down your coding from the current one using VCDS
Unplug and unbolt the old one
bolt in the new one
reaply your old coding
