Selling this onto a friend in work soon so im on the big hunt for somthing new! Really fancy a nice mk5 gti.
Only looking to spend up to about 8k really so im not sure if ill manage it? should i be worried to get one with over 60k on the clock?
Thanks :happy2:

Great photo. :notworthy:

Welcome, 60 k is nothing for the car really so I wouldn't worry about that.

Hi and Welcome.... :driver:
-
Welcome :happy2:
60K wouldn't worry me as long as there was history to back it up

glad to hear your upgrading :P

MK5 - Best car you will ever own !
unless you win the lottery and buy an r8 !
-
haha thanks for the replies and welcomes guys :happy2:
Im struggling to find many within budget, would love a 3 door but only few ive seen are 5 door. not too big a concern as still looks pretty swish!
Current shortlist is
Mk5 gti
Audi a3 3.2 v6
Audi a4 vert 1.8t
orr if im feeling sensible an a3 with the 2.0 tdi sport engine..
Hunting is wearing me out as usual ha :sad1:

Welcome Josh! :drinking:
Hows the hunt going?
-
im afraid its not really at the moment :(
Cant seem to find any within budget and it should only be a matter of days before my civis gone and im all ready to purchase!
-
welcome... sorry 2 hear you aint found a car yet tho bud
-
I remember having a play with a Type-R. Struggled to keep up.
-
mate, look into leon Fr and cupras, and the octavia vRS. they have the same engine, chassis and brakes etc, but dont hold onto their money quite so well.
might be more up your alley.
for instance im getting rid of my 57 plate vRS for 9500 and thats only got 32k on the clock, same age, spec and mileage GTI will be worth quite a bit more id imagine
-
Good luck with the hunt Josh, i'm sure you'll find what your looking for, good things come to those who wait :happy2:
-
Welcome, good luck finding a car! There was one for sale on pistonheads not long ago for 8k with leather, sat nav etc and only 8k! Just had a fair few miles on it 80k i think it was! You should find one, dont worry about the miles VWs go on forever!

Hello, I came from a Civic too, however went to the dark side and picked up a the 2ltr TDI GT, for the type of mileage I do now, it really suits me! As others have said 60k on a civic isn't too bad - I only got £1.5k part ex from the dealer when I traded my civic in, but then the 5th gear syncro gone, engine management light always on, and there were suspension issues that needed to be looked into... Overall I'm happy, no looking back now
