Title: arghh gearbox!

after a argument with the missus i drove my car like i was on the nurbring.. and my 2nd and 3rd gears whining now.. so this means i think im gonna sell it and get a new car..
a X Reg audi A3? what you guys think?
either a 1.8 or 1.9 TDI 110

I wouldn't get an A3 tbh, would rather get a nicely sorted mk4 GTI, anni edition if possible.

Out of interest, how hard did you drive it/what did you do to make it start to whine?
I suspect you've probably killed the synchros quite thoroughly.

oh and you have to go to the POD!! its a rule! if your names on the list then theres no dropping out  :P

just had my uncle come down and becuase im out of a job he said to go to hong kong to learn about mechanics for 3 years... im so tempted so i might be selling my car anyways!

That's a great plan. I worked as an apprentice technician for a Porsche Centre for 2 months and I absolutely loved it. Taught me loads.
