Know some one who has a MK4 Golf with 15" rims wanting to upgrade them to 17s.
What is the standard 15" rim size, i.e. width, offset, etc. and what 17 rims would be appropriate - taking into consideration the best width, offset, etc.?
Sorry if the question is a bit vague - just want to make sure the chap gets the most suitable 17 rims for his car.
Thanks,
Mo

They will be reps as the Mk4 has a different stud pattern. (5x100 vs 5x112 on the Mk5).

Hi Steve - so what about the offset and width?

MK4s work best with an offset of between 32 and 38mm on a 7.5 rim. You can go a fair bit wider on the rear using spacers.
www.uk-mkivs.net/forums is your best place for research as I think just about everything has been tried on there at sometime or other.
