I love the fact they state 500 miles, 500 miles since it was rebuilt. Its nothing special at all. The original car has over 100k miles i think. They have been dreaming its worth that much for ages. There is a thread on CGTI about it taking the piss completely.
I mean, if it was an original campaign that had covered low mileage from when it was new, it might be worth £10-13k, but a non campaign model thats been restod?? I dont think so.
Oh, its had a new clutch and clutch cable, so that must warrant the £13k price right?

There was a fully restored campaign for sale local to me for £10K and it got the piss pulled out of it on the local VW forums. It had had everything carpets the lot was like new but still did not sell for the asking price.
If this car had been a series 1 1.6 rather than the series 2 it would stand more chance of getting near the 13K but it would have to be concourse proven winner for that.
