Title: Heads up - Silverstone BTCC qualifying + Airshow - 21st August.

Last year this was Boys Own Stuff.

I went to this when it included the final of the World Aerobatic Championship, sadly not this year but Saturday the 21st August features BTCC qualifying and support races plus Silverstone Air.  :party:

I will make no secret of the fact I had a tear in my eye after the old girls display last year and she is confirmed for this year. :happy2:

@ 15 notes in advance this has to be superb value for money. :smiley:

Just seen this from the old girls last display at Lowestoft. Yes she is at Silverstone.  :party:

It is one of the better pieces of video of the old girl I have seen and before you ask there wasn't a dry eye after it finished.  :smiley:

im there all weekend....got free tickets  :smiley:

Will be rooting for the YRC Seat Leon in the BTCC.  :happy2:

Does anyone know which circuit the BTCC guys are using?

The reason I ask is that will determine the Air Silverstone display line.  :smiley:

national circuit.

so turn right after becketts and then head down club/wellington straight into brooklands.

Last year you had good access to the Becketts corner and the straight down to Brooklands.

I am guessing the display line will be along the straight next to the red H.

Bit of a 'mare for me at the moment.  :sad1:

Just dropped the cat off at a 24hr vets for overnight IV fluids and blood glucose and ketone monitoring.
I have to pick him up tomorrow morning drop him at the Vets for 8:30 for further tests, then I will be in a position to say I am coming or not.  :sad1: :sad1:

im defo there tomorrow. just undecided whether to go for first free practice at 10am or skip that and get there for 2nd FP.

Sadly the AMD Milltek Golf won't be racing today. Engine got damaged beyond repair during qualifying. Gutted.  :sad1:
