Make sure you are comfortable and know the procedure to engage launch control. You will feel quite nervous first time so its easy to forget something. Also dont launch at too high revs, 2000 seems about right unless there is loads of grip on the track. :happy2:
-
You getting stage 2+ loaded on when you get the hpfp???
Engine mounts are a good cheap mod to reduce wheel hop. THS lower sub frame mount is £70 delivered :happy2:

not sure mate ,going to see how i get once pump is fitted .
wouldnt mind getting car on rolling road to see what out put ive got .
but potentially stage 2 :happy2:

Well if youve got the hpfp going on then stage 2+ takes advantage of that and should help you lower those times :happy2:.

traction control ....ON/OFF......?????
-
Off. :happy2: Once you have your left foot on the brake you can check if its engaged by pressing on the gas, it should not go past 3000 revs, no matter how hard you press it.

Nearly cacked myself as i shot off up the road tyres screeching.Havnt tried it since :signLOL:

My advice would be to NOT use launch control the first time you do a 1/4 mile run and get a better feel for the grip as you accellerate away. Then when you have a better feel for the grip of the surface/tyres try launch control. Whatever happens don't be tempted to just mash the pedal to the carpet otherwise you'll just spin up and kill the tyres. Use the car with the traction control off.
There is a great little supplement book in the Redline magazine this month called fight club and on the page 60 it gives 21 tips on how to get the best from your car at the 1/4 mile. Bonus is that the magazine is quite good too :happy2:
