Title: New and looking to refurb my Monza 2's - Any suggestions?
Post by: Nick1983 on July 11, 2010, 07:43:03 am
Hi Eveyone,

Saint Steve advised me to get on this site so here i am. Basically I have a Mk5 Gti company car. The good thing is i dont have to pay for anything however the bad thing is modifications need to be done on the sly!

Firstly im looking to refurb my alloys but i want a diamond cut finish and not many places seem to do it. I have got a quote from VW and they have said its a £115 per wheel which i think is a little too much. I was ideally hoping for about half this much.

If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated. Once i have got the cosmetics sorted i will then be looking for a re-map that i can take off if needed so hopefully no one i.e my work will ever know!

Thanks in advance

Nick

I've always used the wheel specialist (nottingham branch but they are franchised all over the uk) for refurbishing and powder coating.
They have always been fantastic. £300 for full set of 18" wheel, stripped back, refurbed and built up where necessary, balanced and powder coated in whatever colour you want + wheel waxing. They powder coat over the weights which is a nice touch too. quality is excellent.
