Title: Anybody know why our car sounds like a bird is stuck in it ?????

Hi All

So since we have owned the GTI (2 months) every time we start it up it sounds like a squeeking noise under the bonnet !

I asked Awesome gti and they said is was normal, but surely a three year old car should not sound like a 15 year old car.

As soon as it is warm it goes!

An indy garage said it may be the cambelt tensioner ???


Any thoughts

OMG !

More cost !

Ours is a 56 (october 2006) so out of warranty !

Any idea how much at an indy dealer ??
