Title: DSG gear indication disappeared after dealer did dsg oil change
Post by: northernmunkeh on July 15, 2010, 03:48:25 pm
well after my car has been in the dealership for 3 weeks after breaking down on the A1 i got my car back.
Nice £1000 bill covered by warranty for new air con compressor, however they also did a dsg oil change and now I've no idea what gear i'm in on the MFD muti function display  :fighting:

this is getting beyond a joke

anyone know if its the ****wits reflashing my ecu, and if so how do I get the display back.

sarcastic  :congrats:

seriously I've had about enough of VW ownership after just 5 months.

if anyone wants to buy my car they are more than welcome. pm for details. Has the all important new air con compressor fitted!  :signLOL:

Take it back to the dealer and complain.
More than likely a disconnected connector from the mechatronic unit.

It maybe a coding that isnt correct for automatic transmission, but the best solution given the issues youve had with the car is to go back to the dealer and give them a damn good roasting!  And please make sure to post up the garage in question so we can all avoid them like the plague!

Or you could just go back to them and say my car still has a bit of a fault.  :happy2:
We all make mistakes in life its not the end of the world.
