Title: Post up a photo of your mountain bike
Post by: LouCyffer on July 19, 2010, 07:44:49 am
Having just read about R32UK's new mountain bike, I thought it would be good to see forum members' off road pedal rides. I'll start it off:

Bit of an old picture, before it took the abuse of a week in the alps:

sh*t the bed, how long are your legs???  :surprised: :signLOL:

fairly long!  Im 6ft 2 but most of thats in my legs, that seat post extension was to get the perfect peddle stroke, the seat post normally sits alot lower for off road riding, and since that picture I replaced the stem to shorten it up as I was too stretched.

I recognise that viewpoint; it's Crosscliffe at the Northern Edge of Dalby Forest. You local there? It's my closest trail centre & has been seeing lots of my bike since the World Cup Circuit went in.

Well spotted mate, it certainly is Dalby's Crosscliffe View Point.

I'm about an hour's drive away, went load's last year but haven't been at all this year  :ashamed:

Awesome place to go.

The Dixon's Hollow Skill's park is lot's of fun.  Spent a few days around just there  :signLOL:

Gotta mar in mount vision 2008 I think. There's about 2k's worth of bits on top of the standard bike.

I like to think of it as a hardcore xc bike! Having said that, it's only 29lb!

Looks well impressive, amazing design.

If you don't mind me asking how does it affect your balance on the bike, notice much difference?

None at all really, I use my everyday leg and on a test we did I put 45% through my prosthetic n 55% through my good leg. Well that was from when I were doing a Triathlon but not done anything extreme on it yet as I've not had time but if you google or YouTube Brian then you'll see what can be done with it after plenty of practise :)

Ive got a new Cube Analog 2012 just arrived at Halfords on my 2012 C2W scheme. Went for a cheaper bike this year to save on the monthly fees. Looking forward to getting it. Its not quite as hardcore as my last Cube Ltd Team 2011. But got a great spec for my £600 ceiling on bike cost.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cube.eu%2Fuploads%2Fpics%2Fanalog-disc-black.jpg&hash=7e4ae96af47cebb08f6d3600f275a85ce76f586f)

Just setup the wifes new Specialized Myka Sport Disc Int. Nice little bike. She also went for a cheaper bike this year. Hoping to get out on them soon.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bikes.org.uk%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2011%2F09%2Fspecialized-myka-ht-2012-womens-mountain-bike.jpg&hash=9efc2d94be35117a076a2bd11555e8480cdbbb96)

Our companies pay for our C2W scheme for us basically, but we get the difference from selecting cheaper bikes and it allows us to put more in critical illness, pensions, dental care and other perks.
