Just had my ED30 serviced, been told that the front brakes have about 4 months life left.  Have been looking to upgrade the brakes due to having an APR stage1 re-map and do not rate the stopping power.

I am not looking at track days and not  an aggressive driver, just want something  better than I currently have.  Not looking to spend big , big money either for a gog brake setup

 Whats my best way forward.

R32s probably mate, ive not heard of anyone complaining about them !

I was directed by fellow forumites to call Brakes International !

Tell them what you are thinking and they will advise ! Truly excellent service !

Apart from they did not know what size disc I needed !  :stupid: :stupid:

get your self a set of standard size oem discs from somewhere like bremtech.  and upgrade your pads to a more fasst road orientated option.

pads such as hawk HP+, ferrodo ds2500, mintex m1144 should provide much more stopping power.

dont bother upgrading the discs to performance ones, i did this (over £250 for the pair) and it made no difference

Why not go down the porsche brake route, with Dave NQS BBK thread, standard discs, standard pads but a much better caliper, so you will have the better breaking power, and descent feel and modulation.  And you can even fit them behind the standard 17" monza's.

I agree with Rich....sort of. I can personally recommend the R32/S3 brakes, as they are what I have. (and they are a MASSIVE improvement).

If you want to try the porsche calipers, have a word with JoesGTI, as he had these fitted when we went to Nurburgring, and he said they were amazing!
or have a word with DaveB who provided them for Joe.  :happy2:
