Title: What size allan key to change front brake pads

Im sure it was a 7MM on my mk4 but can anyone confirm what size i would need on a MK5 GTI

sorry to dig this thread up, but came across it during a search.

 is changing the front pads an easy job???

also what pads are recommended or better off staying with vw pads for normal use??

Yeah fronts are easier than rears as you don't need a wind back tool. I went for OEM pads with Brembo discs. www.nextdaybrakes.com if you've not already got discs. :happy2:

is it best doing both discs n pads together??, discs dont have much of a lip on them

if discs are ok just change the pads :happy2:
