Post by: MickMc on January 28, 2009, 01:36:10 pm
Noticed it today , however it wasn't there this morning , if anyone has experience in this side of the trade , can it be repaired ? was reading if you can cover it with a £2 coin then it can , however mine also has cracks either end  :erm: also can anyone recommend a company that wont break the bank , cheers

how do you mean stemming away ? i also red that if the crack can be covered by a credit card then it can be repaired , which it can at either end  :scared: dont fancy going through insurance

I just had a stone hit my screen this morning, got straight onto the phone with the insurance and by the time I was home there was a guy from Auto-glass waiting for me, fixed it in 20mins. No money. Job done  :happy2:

Windscreens give a lot of structure to a car, well worth getting any craps/chips repaired.

I had mine done recently - excess seem to go from £50 - £75, mine was £60.

How does a new windscreen work on a car with the rear view mirror attached with rain sensors n stuff?! is it a difficult job?
