Title: Help required with a Ebay Buy!
Post by: Sparky Craig on July 24, 2010, 09:08:29 am
Hi all...

Always asking favors of people arnt I   :ashamed:

Well after been told by Hedge of a Milltek Exhaust on Ebay and a little bit of haggling the price has been agreed on but the seller does not want the hassle of shipping it because he`s already selling it too cheap

The guy lives in Wirral, Merseyside.  So would there be ANY one that could possibly do us a GREAT favour and pick it up and then I`ll arrange pick up from yours etc... I`d also have to pay you first as it`s cash on collection but I`ll sort all that out before you go etc...

fingers crossed someone can help, don`t fancy a 4 and bit hour drive, would cost me a fortune in the fridge  :jumping:

 :happy2:

............won't he pack it up for you if you arange for it to be collected ?. I would think a courier would only charge around 20 quid to deliver it?. I sold some alloys & they were only around 30 quid to send.

Well I have asked him IF he`ll wrap it and I`ll get it collected via Interparcel but say`s collection only on the sale so we`ll have to see....

Sounds like a seller that can't be arsed dealing with Postage and Packaging. Its not that hard to wrap it up with bubble wrap and get it ready for collection.
Some people eh?

Have you tried to offer him a couple of quid to buy some bubble wrap etc. He might be more willing to do it then, if not then he's just tight!

No worries with beer tokens or REAL money.... would just be nice to get this thing sorted....  :drinking:

Just waiting for a email reply from the seller as to a postcode or at least some way of getting a closer fix for me to ask someone to collect it (I dont want him to think I want his address so I know where his car is etc)....  but i do need to know where to pick the item up from  :rolleye:

Cheers to all the people offering help, I might be calling on you  :notworthy:

I've spoke to my dad and he's happy to do it so let me know and then if you pay me the money i'll transfer it to my dad and he will pick it up and bring it down on friday.

I'll then bring it to the Goodwood Breakfast club on the 1st or can courier it if you want it earlier.
 :happy2:

Edit: Only day he can't do is Thursday
