Steve fitted his old VW bluetooth kit into my wheels this morning. As well as listening patiently to all my questions, he made a great job, and ensured all was 100% sorted before finishing up. The system integrates with the 510, brilliantly. Great guy, I highly recommend this kit. And I'll be getting Steve to do his Reversing Camera magic soon.
Thanks mate :happy2:

Does this work with an iphone??

the bluetooth that is, Not SteveP

I'm happy to tell you that both the kit, and Steve are compatable with my 3GS running latest OS 4.01.
-
Lou has the 729E kit which is compatible with the iPhone and RNS510 but doesn't display on a red DiS. (Not that it matters as the RNS510 is much better at handling calls)
-
Also it doesn't come up on Highline. I have a Midline, so I aren't bothered. But yes, the RNS510 is a great phone interface. If I'd known how versatile this combination was, I'd have got all this 6 months ago. :happy2:

If only I was popular and people called me more I would have hhis in a flash

We met up halfway, Darren. At scenic Woodhall Services M1 . I didn't know that you roam as far as sunny Whitby. Hope you got some fish n chips in

Andy I get all over mate London, Wales, Whitby and Scotland next week :happy2: Got fish and chips
Steve I got there at around 11 and had a cuppa then got finished fitting every thing at 2 RVC was excellent mate :happy2: like a factory fit I activated the alarm beeps and rain closure on the FIS for her and the LED's and RNS510 went in fine with it all coded for the Dynaudio on the RNS screen.
:happy2: :happy2: :happy2:
Cheers

will you be getting any of those bluetooth kits in darren by any chance? I fancy that and the RVC price dependant aswell  Could do with it for my iphone! That gps antenna that you put in for my rns 510 keeps sliding about whenever I turn corners, think it might need some double sided tape!
Did you activate double press on the key fob for unlocking by any chance on vcds?

Hi Dom i can get the bluetooth but very expensive around £350 for the skoda b version or the new one like what stevep has just got but still not sure that works with the red highline dash.
If your not bothered about it been on the highline i can get the e version skoda unit the will work with the rns510 so you will see every thing on the screen.
Dom not touch any thing on the electrics side but if you go into your setting you can change it yourself? Someone may have been having a play... :happy2:
Ill let you know buddy
Cheers and sorry for the hijack Andy and Steve

Dom, get the E version. The RNS510 is so good at handling the phone stuff, I don't even miss any form of dash readout.
Darren, you're welcome mate, no hijack apology needed :happy2:
-
thanks for the replies :happy2:
Sorry for taking away your limelight steveP, wheres my manners :sad1:
I didnt realise I could change the door unlocking with the highline  must learn to read instruction manuals....

I'd also suggest the 729E over the 729B, especially given the current issues with the latest iPhone software.
