Title: Mk6 mfsw swap
Post by: Lyons on July 25, 2010, 08:44:08 pm
The wife is looking at an ex demo mk6 SE to replace her mk5 match.

Can anyone tell me if the steering wheel is as easy to upgrade on the mk6?

Is a new module required like on the mk5?

If you can swap a MK6 wheel on to a Mk5 car (albeit with new controller) i would imagine on a MK6 it would be a straight swap :happy2:

Sorry, I meant swapping from a non mf wheel to 1 with the buttons, would a module be required.

The mk6 se uses a controller ending CQ and doesn't allow m/f use you will need a controller ending CD to allow for the m/f buttons and no steering angle sensor.
