Title: metallic rattle

My MkV GTI DSG has developed a mettalic rattle at the front that I hear when moving off. Can anyone tell me what this could be before I get robbed at my dealership?

Loose heat shield / exhaust or a combination of the two? Had a similar issue on a previous car and it was the exhaust flexing slightly and catching the heat shield as the engine moved under load. Unfortunately I have no idea where they heat shields are located on the GTI but I'd hazard a guess that there is one between the exhaust and bulkhead? Maybe put it on a ramp if you can and follow the exhaust along the car?
