Title: Lunchtime's mini-mod
Post by: tony_danza on January 29, 2009, 01:51:02 pm
Got my plate assigned yesterday (hint - Don't go to the DVLA office in Manchester near end of month, I heard every scumbag's trick in the book whilst sat waiting for god knows how many hours for: general scummy requirements/claim cars were SORN that have got fines for no tax/claim they own cars and want docs/trying to get tax without docs etc.... oh, and witness a drive off from a petrol station too, bold as brass!!)

Anyhoo.. had a trial run of my showplates before doing the legal ones, what do you think?

EDIT removed now we've all had a look.

Cheers everyone.

Just wish I could leave the non-spaced plates on all the time, still - the law is the law.

I've had it for years Joe, but I agree, it's the last on the list really.

looks smart are the police very strict with spaced plates where you are from then ? reason i ask is that i have had my personal plate spaced like yours for around 2 1/2 years now and never been pulled or fined for it

Nah, I'm pretty rural and the village bobbies know me/my cars - they don't care less.

I just don't want any attention when driving elsewhere, like into the city or to shows... although to be fair, they are very close to legal, so it'd have to be a fussy pull.

ye thats what i thought. i think if i get pulled it will be because of a copper having a bad day.. (you watch me get pulled on the way home from work at 3 )

It's the old rules: If you've a well looked after, otherwise 100% legal car and you're not driving like a tool, then you're more likely to get left alone.

You touching wood right now, Newey?

Do me a favour and knock the location off your post though mate, lot of scum shopping on the forums of late..
I'm gonna knock the photos off the thread once everyone's had a look.

Cheers Steve - I didn't even give it much consideration until I read a thread on something else the other day, it's obvious they've moved on from Autotrader to member's rides... Now they can go looking for cars with nice, expensive bits on - as we all put big mod lists in our sigs.

Yeah Billy, that's me mate. The Anni went in August after I bought the MKV - she wouldn't let me keep both, although I tried...

No worries on the other score  :happy2:
