Title: Finally I'm a Mk5 GTI Owner!

Well after years of wanting a mk5 GTI, and gradually becoming addicted to GTI forums. I finally picked one up last night.

Its a Nov 06 Tornado Red 3dr with 18'' monza's, parking sensors, armrest and 6cd headunit.

I payed a little more than I wanted, but for the condition its in I am just glad to finally be an owner!

I loved my MK 4 especially the interior, But i love my MK 5 even more, And i think it looks best in 3 door guise  :happy2:

Funny thing happened to me today, as i was driving along i adjusted the seat height for the first time (the previous owner was similar height as me) and i set it at it's lowest setting and realised that you sit much lower than in a MK 4 GTI, It brought a big smile to my face when i looked up at all the headroom i now have, it's like the bloody tardis  :laugh:

Hello and welcome.

I made the jump from a 111S Elise and although I miss the handling and thrills I don't miss the noise/ride. I can drive hundreds of miles now in 2 days and arrived relaxed or i can put my foot down and enjoy the ride.

With the Lotus you didn't have the choice and long journeys on MW was frankly boring and uncomfortable.

Just been for a good long drive this evening, and it really is perfection for me!
I have been driving petrol and diesel Polos for the last 6 years, so it is a massive change for me.
