Title: Cookes Fakenham (Norfolk)
Post by: Didit on July 30, 2010, 06:54:23 pm
I can thoroughly recommend Cookes of Fakenham in Norfolk for all your VW needs. I got my GTI from there 1 year ago and have just had it serviced with them, plus my wife's new Polo is from there too.
They were so friendly and personal and I can't fault them one bit. It's just a small VW dealer and the service excellent.
 :congrats:

Great when you find a good dealer. My mate works for my local VW dealership so mine is treated like a baby.

The Fakenham VW dealership is no longer 'Cookes'.  The Cookes family which used to owned the firm, sold up to Vindis group - sometime during 2009.

I personally had quite a frustrating experience with Cookes back in 2006, when trying to purchase a nigh-on fully loaded new GTI.  Maybe it was just the individual salesman, but he fundamentally failed to understand my requests, so lost a £29k sale.

And I need to add another update - spoke to them a few months ago about getting my rusty arches fixed - and they stated that it MUST have a full official VW service history - now that is actually breaking the law.  Even further down in my estimations.
