Hi Guys
Just fitted my RNS510 Ver C and all good so far, havent even coded it yet and all seems to work. I have noticed its got voice control im guessing I need to install a mic for it to work, can anyone advise what I need to buy and how to go about fitting? I also intend on adding bluetooth at some point I assume any mic I install will work with a phone as well as the voice control? Cheers

Perfect Thanks, is there much fitting involved, where does the mic go, any guides on line. Cheers

The mic goes in the centre overhead console.

I'm not sure were you mean, I'm guessing it cant go in the same place as the satnav aerial as the aircon noise would interfere, so I would have guessed I need to run the cable along the drivers side front pillar, not sure though?

It goes in this part -

That looks tricky to fit, should the cabling between my rns 510 (07 GTi) to the overhead console already be in place or do I need to run a cable? if so is there a guide on how to do this, cheers for your help.
-
You'll need to run the cable yourself. Along the roof, down the A Pillar and across to the RNS.

Its pretty easy, a length of stiff wire or metal coat hanger is helpful to install the cable above the roof lining

Cool, thanks for the advice.
