Michelin PS3 without shadow of doubt.
I've used all the top ones on my Stage 2+ vRS and PS3 are definitely the best when it's wet in my experience.
A lot quieter too and treadware rating of 320 is better than most so you will get food mileage out of them.
Had the PS3 on mine now for about 3 months and they are defo way ahead of any other tyre ive used :happy2:

nice one carl , going to have ring round today.
how much should i be paying ?????
-
Dunno?
I paid just over £400 but I have 17's
I don't know if michelin are still doing the 25% off of you buy 4 tyres offer.
Basically when I got mine from ATS Euromaster Michelin had an offer where if you bought 4 tyres you got 25% off so basically paid for 3.
If you have 18's, which having an ED30 I would say you do, then you are prob looking around the £500 mark.
Best bet is to ring round and play people off against each other. Also try camskill as you may be able to get 4 tyres delivered and then pay someone local to fit them which could work out cheaper. :happy2:

Rip their hands off.
That's a very good price for 18's
-
looking at the season approaching you need winter tyres, no more no less. i plan on buying Vredesteins wintertyres, only tyre rared to 300km/h, :driver:
-
i have ps3 and rate them very highly
that is also a very good price
cheapest i found was £140 a corner, kwik fit wanted £196 a tyre just to show how good a price that is

Make sure the £119 ones are the right load rating. 92Y not 88Y .
Chris.

I presume 91Y are OK though (for 17s)?

Vreddestein Ssesanta Ultrac's(Asym's) , near on par with the Ps3's for around £90 a corner.
Pretty looking tyres with a soft compound, very quiet and cope well with my stage 2 ed30.
-
No where as good in the wet though Steve. I went from Vred Sessanta's to PS3 and whilst dry performance is on par, in the wet the PS3 is waaaay better.
All my opinion of course
-
I havent had Ps3's, but in the wet , i tend not to want to boot it as much
:happy2:
-
Same here but i just found that i have more grip in the wet :happy2:
-
There are some R1R's in the for sale section, get them :happy2:

i know really tempted, love the tread pattern on them they look the boll#ks...!!
just little concerned with autum/winter coming up might be a little slippey slidey :driver:
-
I've not used them but can't imagine you'll have too much trouble as long as you drive to the conditions...
-
Anyone still on the Conti's? What sort of mileage should we get out of the front ones on a ED30?
TIA... :happy2:
-
I've just bought 4 Falken 452's  to replace my conti's.
Not fitted them yet as I've too much on, but ill post my results.
My conti's seem to be made of phillidelphia cheese spread though, not sure if it is just me and my led boot, or they are actually poor wearers ( and poor power putter-down-ers) They seem to light up even in 3rd/4th, and its only stage 1
-
ive got goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric ive never torque steered once in the wet on the way out a roundabout but my car is only at stage 1 so i dont know how good they are with stage 2 anyway camskill have them for £110 http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m61b0s134p12746

Had the Falkens fitted.
They are pretty good in the dry and the damp :)
Not tried them in the pouring rain yet, but so far im v.pleased.
