I'm not heavily into picture taking, i just like to turn the camera on and start clicking away.
I need a camera that has good lens and takes quality pics, Recommendations please.
I don't want to spend more than 100 bucks.
-
iPhone 4 - mine takes better pics and video than most point and shoots.
-
I hate the iphone for taking pics.
£100 is a bit on the low side.
Two brands I'd recommend at point-and-shoot include Canon's IXUS range and Fuji's F-series cameras. You may be able to find something for ~£100-130 range if you're willing to stretch things a tad.

Panasonic Lumix Series (TZ6, TZ7, TZ8, TZ10) although you may struggle to find one at the price your looking.
I have a TZ6 and it's very good for taking snaps when used in the Intelligent Auto Mode.
Not as good as a DSLR but very good for most people's needs :happy2:
-
Carl is spot on the TZ range are superb cameras, I'm just about to buy the TZ8 :happy2:
but def not quite at the budget you suggested.
Is 4x optical zoom enough or do you need more ?
Theres also some good deals on amazon for the Casio Exilim range at the moment nearer to £100 , not as good as the panasonics but still nice cameras.
or maybe the Sony below?

cheaper panasonic?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Lumix-FS30-Digital-Camera/dp/B0031MA144/ref=pd_ts_ce_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
remember and budget for case / mem card and spare battery.

Someone is selling a sony one in the for sale section for £40. And I would second the TZ8 recomendation, recently got one myself and its really good, super wide angle, and then large zoom. It has the options to play with the settings like a DSLR but also has a shed load of iA settings so you can let the camera do the work.

This is a good site to use and generally cheapest place to get them (apart from maybe eBay)
CameraBox.co.uk (http://www.camerabox.co.uk/)

I thought 1 looked familiar.
Regarding the OP's original question "I need a camera that has good lens and takes quality pics, I don't want to spend more than 100 bucks."
I think you will struggle with just that budget. You may find something you are happy with but I doubt the pictures will be quality.

Thanks for all the replys. You are all right...i'm gonna have to double my budget for a quality camera.
