Hi folks,
I need a little advice on what to do, someone has keyed the golf  and I'm trying to remove it as it's thankfully not deep. What is the best way to remove this scratch?
To say I'm angry is an understatment, I would love to get my hands on the wanker who done it who done it :fighting:!

I'm sure someone like JPC or the like will be along to give the ultimate info, but before doing anything you'll need to see how deep it goes - is it too deep to polish out?
If you are able to polish it out, then you'll need to make sure the scratch is completely clean of any grit or contaminents.... i guess clay would do the job once cleaned over to ensure nothing is caught in it that would then harm the surrounding paintwork.
Then depending on how big it is, i guess something like ScratchX might do the job. Depends how long, deep and visable it is really.

Pics ?, how deep is it, can you catch your nail in it ?

Thanks for the quick replys :happy2:
I'll get some pics up shortly, you can just Catch your nail a bit when running over it. It looks as if it's just scratched through the clear coat but not the paint itself.
Cheers

What a ba%^&**!!!! hope you get it sorted :happy2:
There are some real plonkers on this planet... :rolleye:
I've had two conversations recently with colleagues at work whereby either they or there wives were sat in the car and someone has come along parked up next to them, got out and swung the door open into there cars... :stupid:

I had some light scratches on my bonnet and scratchX made no difference IMO. My scratches only came out once I had got a light paint correction done from a local detailer.

Welcome to try some different polishes/

Not sure if this helps but the detailing world forum has some really good how to guides for removing or lessening the appearance of scratches.
Also a new product which i havent tried but which some are saying is very good is Aquartz. Its a protectant which will minimize greatly any attempts by people to key your car.

wankers x 3
why can't them SOBs have appreciation for beauty eh? depraved and deprived.
As a permanent self repair, read in another thread (can't remember) about this Dr. Color Chips which is able to remove deep chips and probably scratches. The deeper the damage, the longer the rework but it has been claimed to perform "magic".
I will be getting one soon to treat chips.

Hope the above helps. ...
