Not sure if you got a manual with it but theres a free skoda version here (sorry but i dont think voice control is included though)

You should have a button top right that has a microphone or a star on it. That gives you a list of commands and activates the VC.

Iirc you need to go into the setup menu and the option is in the for Voice.  :happy2:

Thx, for the replies, thing is i have the mk 6 R MFSW and i don't know which button to use to activate it, the Mic logo button only mutes the radio as i see it  :sad1:
And the manual i have found has no chapter for the Voice control. The mic is fitted and works for both Voice and BT. Is there a button on the RNS that activates the voice control??

Cheers,

Jake

When i retrofitted 729E bluetooth to my mam's mk6, i had to change the steering wheel coding to get the voice button to work.

Jake you need to code your steering wheel to except voice control,  if you go into controller 16 Steering Wheel its possibly something like 0002022 or 0002032 if you have cruise control you need it to be 0003022 or 0003032 if you have cruise control.  You will then use the left lower button with the mic on for the voice control.

Danish or Darren,

How much does it cost for the kit for voice control? Will it work with all RNS510's and Bluetooth?

Cheers

Carlo I think the kit from Kufatec is about £40 but all you need to do is re-route your existing microfone has you have the VW premium kit that I fitted for you :happy2:

Danish might also be worth checking your coding in the Skoda UHV as I seem to remember there being an option to switch between VC commanding the UHV unit or to let the control happen through a 3rd party device, ie the RNS.

Sorry to dig up an old thread.

I bought a Mk5 gt tdi 170 dsg on the weekend and I've bought a 2012 rns510 along with a 5K0 035 730 bluetooth kit.  The kit comes with a mic Which fits up in the usual place up by the interior light.

My question is hopefully a simple one, does the RNS use this mic for voice control or do I need a separate one ?

I've done a few searches and the results are a little confusing, some say get a kufatec kit and others say route the mic to the RNS unit then back out to the bluetooth kit.

Any help would be appreciated, I've already installed the RNS 510 and when I press the star button it asks for command but obviously it currently doe snot work.  I'm intending to fit the Bluetooth kit on the weekend so I'm hoping to get the voice control functioning at the same time :)

Thanks in advance for any help

most looms have a couple of plugs and they allow voice control.

i would suggest you contact the seller and ask advice from them
