Hi All
Another one !
Can anyone tell me the part number for the cambelt kit for a GTI ! Just rang VW but they wont "give part numbers for you to source elsewhere cheaper"
I bought a kit on a whim the other day off the Bay, but before i give to the garage just want to check i have the right one !
Two boxes have arrived if that makes sense !
Thanks
:happy2:

The belt I believe is 06D 109 119B, but I need the year of the car to 100% confirm.

Just asking out of curiosity as i was quoted £140ish (can't remember exact) for Cambelt and Water pump for the Slingshot (2.0TDi PD140) from TPS in Canterbury.

2.0 TDi Water Pump is 038 121 011 JX which is £33.60 Exch
2.0 TDi(06>) Belt Kit 03G 198 119 A is £104.10

Some parts attract different levels depending on your average spend I think. However consumables which are in what they call the parts club are fixed.
Pretty much anyone can go to a TPS counter and buy, you don't need an account. I opened an account with them, it's direct with VW and gives me a credit facility of £1k.

Is that belt kit all i'd need for the change or do i need tensioners etc. Or am i being dumb and they are included in the kit?
-
A belt kit will normally include the tensioner, belt and any fixings you need. Put that number into your ETKA and it'll tell you what's included.

I had the Cambelt & Pump changed in the vRS at 51k miles purely because im at Stage 2+ and it was it's 3rd service.
My 2.0 TDi PD140 currently has 68k on the clock. It's recommended change is at 150k km (so 93k miles). I was just asking out of curiosity :happy2:
