Title: JoeR - Audi 2.0TDI - Detailed by Accelerate
Post by: 08micsta on August 18, 2010, 10:53:07 pm
Good Morning all

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of spending the day with Joe and his Reflex Silver Audi A4.

Originally Joe wanted a Full Detail - However due to the condition of the vehicle I suggested he rather book it in for an Enhancement Detail.

I started with the car early on a Saturday morning. The car on arrival was rather dusty from a hard week at work.

The usual everyday build up of road grime on the paint, rims and trimmings.

Using a product called "Blade" from Shield I began working on the rims and cleaning the badges and engine bay. The dirt was then blasted off with a high pressure washer. The car was also given a quick blast and then thoroughly washed by hand using a Wash mitt.

I then continued to giving the car a two stage polish using Meguires Paint Cleaner and then a light buffing with Meguires Swirl X. This combo provided me with very good correction and in the light the paint showed immediate signs of improvement.

Then engine bay was then sealed using Meguires Trim Detailer.

I then waxed the paintwork using Meguires Gold Class Wax. This is the first time I have used this product and was impressed by how easily it went on and off as well as the exceptional shine it added.

The interior was then vacuumed and leather was moisturised.

^ Before on the right and after on the left.

Final touches were then done. Exhausts were buffed with Meguires NXT Metal Polish giving them a fantastic shine considering the existence of a diesel engine.

Windows were then cleaned and buffed and final trim dressings as well as inspections were done.

I then suggested a Photo-Shoot. Joe was more then willing.

Here we go!

Overall I really enjoyed working on this Audi. Joe is a fantastic host and my time spent is Gordons Bay was most enjoyable.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you guys.  :happy2:

Who would have thought that a plain silver Audi Diesel could be so succulent? I genuinely loved how it looked.  :innocent:

Love the turn around and shine on the silver.
