I've got this combo and find it really good. Got a really good covering of foam with my first attempt as well, and the guys at AP took a lot of time helping me get the correct attachment as I don't have a mainstream brand pressure washer.

Got mine from Autoperfection too. Great service as always from them. Their own brand Snow Foam seems to work very well too.

I purchased the auto brite one but the jury is still out with the lance and their snow foam. I used it at the weekend and it dind't seem to shift much of the dirt a tall.

Just my opinion but I think the snow foam lances are a big rip off.  As you state , it doesn't seem to move anything at all . I honestly wish I had saved the 60-70 quid I paid and just used the pressure washer to remove built up grime. The snow foam doesn't seem to move any grime than pressure washing alone.
I mentioned this to a guy who was buying my wifes car last week and he said "I'm glad I'm not the only one to think its useless".

Chris.

Snowfoam isn't designed to move grime off but to make it easier to get it off.

The idea is to soften up hardened dirt, to try and lift some of the dirt off the surface. This means when you go over with a wash mitt, you don't marr the paintwork.

The entire point of snowfoam, microfibre wash mitts, two-bucket method of washing etc is to reduce the damage that washing inflicts on the car. The 2BM should still be the mainstay of washing your car. Presoaking with snowfoam etc is designed to make it easier and less damaging.
