Title: Anyone done this mod ?

Its rear footwell lights in case you cant tell, The hole is there too  :happy2:

yeh, i have a baby though so a bit of light in the back might be handy, and look a little different too   :happy2:

and just for that extra special touch, I would add a template into the light for either "VW" or "Edition 30" so that it shows letters on the carpet (either letters in white , or background in white) ,  :drool:

it look like its fairly easy, just need wires from the front and the two light parts by the looks of it , there is a hole in the back of the seats that the light units fit into , im guessing the loom to the seat doesnt contain the cable for the lights ?, think its an audi only thing ?

The mrs has puddle lights underneath her wing mirrors

thought about maybe retrofitting them to mine

yeh i have seen the mirror puddles, thought the door one was different, anyway who's retro fitted the door mirror puddles  :drool:

i changed the bulbs in the mirrors to the bluevision ones, as i hate the yellow look

The wires aren't there. Looked into it breifly.
The looms are different if you have memory seats and bend in mirrors. And the controll modules aren't there either.

Seems like too much hassel IMO.

I tried changin one of my mirror puddle lights before, then it stopped working and the dealer replaced the control unit - not touched it since, it scares me in case it breaks again  :surprised:

LOL, i may just leave it, i have seen it where people make there own holes and install LED's and just piggy back the cables, but im a bit of a OEM man myself
