Nice ta ! Got a few questions for ya !
What's the clearance like on the bbk is there more or less room for the calipers than your last wheels ?
Are you running spacers for clearance?
any rubbing?
Do you notice a differance from the weight saving ?
Ta
Bryan

Thanks for the comments, really happy with the look of the wheels on the car
I have found that there is more clearance on the calipers with these wheels than my previous wheels. Because it is the VWR BBK, they have a built in spacer so I guess the answer to that would be yes on the front.
I have only had the wheels on the car a couple of days but from the driving I have done so far I have not had any rubbing. When changing the wheels over there was a noticable difference between the weight of the two. Hope this helps.
-
Cheers mate !
What wheels did you have on previously, i've got about 10mm clearance with my mozas on my ap racing brakes, if you had the pescaras on before and there is more clearance with these I'll be fine as the pescaras have a little less room than the monzas.
keep me informed if any rubbing develops too
thanks for your help
-
Yeh I had the Pescaras on before and there was just enough room there. Much better with these.
If i have any issues I will let you know!
-
Cheers bud :happy2:
-
looks spot on theo
-
Theo what tyres you got on there??
-
I have Toyo R888's fitted to these wheels.
Going to put the Pescara's back on for the winter though. They need a good clean up first.
-
looking good mate very good
-

Looking very smart and purposeful, Theo :happy2:
What's the sticker on the 'C' pillar, please?

-
Looks good. What tire size and rim width ?
-
Looks like 8x18 with 225/40 R888's or 235/40's ?
-
It is indeed 8x18 with 225/40's on it!
-
What suspension has your car got Theo ?
The look of the ride height is perfect IMO, hunkered down but not slammed or nose down :happy2:
-
I'm running KW V3's set up by VWR. I'm really happy with it. It looks mean and purposeful!
-
Theo, tks
Any chance you could measure wheel centre to wheel arch lip (straight up vertically to the lowest part of the lip of the wing) ? I have used this on before with cars on the flat(ish) then measured both sides and taken an average :happy2:
This against stock should show the approx drop. Yours looks over 30 but less than 40 ?
Any problems with speed bumps ?
-
I'll do front and rear for you this weekend when I get a chance to!
The only speed bumps I have a problem with are the ones into our carpart at work so I now take a detour, but they arent your average speed bump. They cause a problem to anything lower than a Defender!
Its just a case of being mindful of speed bumps and being sensible. I rarely carry passengers in the back seats. On the occasions I have, adults are ok, just take speedbumps slowly.
HTH!
-
Theo, many thanks :happy2:
-
Had a measure today. Fronts from centre are 328mm and rears are 312mm. Hope this helps!
-
I'll measure up my 'new' stock Pirelli tomorrow and see what that comes in at. A great help Theo tks :happy2: :happy2:
-
I'll measure more accurately in the dry, but looks like 360 F and 355 R so looks like very approx 30mm F and 40-45 R
-
Yes 58-60F, 55-57R for a stock height Pirelli
-
Not black but anthracite
