Post by: Eddy30 on August 30, 2010, 06:29:17 pm
Just got back of hol and noticed a very faint hissing/blowing noice in the cabin with the engine on.turned of blowers etc and sounds like it's comin from the driver footwell but dissapears when I push the brake pedal?? Then slowly builds up again
Ps brakes seem fine

Sounds like the brake servo may be leaking

Re-seals itself when the pedal is pressed

Thats what i thought it sounded like. Oh well, best get it booked in.

Along with a DSG jolt on take off (suspected mechatronics), whining 1st gear, perished weather seal on drivers door, rear brakes clunking a little.

Err.....anything else thats annoyed me in the 6 days of ownership so far.

Did you two get this one nailed at all in the end?

I've got the same problem. Hissing sound on cold and warm car, stops on pressing the brake pedal.
Sounds like I'm likely to have the same problem as you to - did you fix it? Thanks. :happy2:
