I know people who do it say it's easy but an illustrated practical guide would be very helpful and would doubtless include tips how to avoid hassle.

Thanks, buddy! :drinking:
Noticed this comment posted:
"Don't forget to disconnect the battery BEFORE you start or you'll end up with airbag light faults which will need clearing"

....Good question - I dunno.
My post #3 was quoting someone else.

Air bags in the rear seats came as an optional extra.

....I don't remember if I ordered them. How do I find out, please? :happy2:

Invoice? Don't if the code thing on the slam panel would list it.

Funny but I don't remember seeing an invoice! Code in the Handbook perhaps.

If you have rear air bags then you'll see the a small air bag tab at each side of the rear seat upright.

Out of curiosity why do people want to remove the rear seats?

Lighter car = better track times

Surely removing the back seats doesn't decrease weight by that much
-
iirc it's around 25kg and every little bit helps...
-
Just start with 3/4 full tank. Will achieve same thing :signLOL:

Removing the rear seats also allows easier and more secure carriage of a set of 4 track wheels with tyres.
Plus it gets nicely noisier - You get to enjoy your exhaust sound even more.

I was taking the proverbial with my last comment RR
Think of the fun you can have with a back seat in though
