Title: fuel economy on a revo trial
Post by: benjyboy on September 03, 2010, 10:36:33 am
hi all i just had a quick question to ask.
I had a revo stage 1 remap trial fitted yesterday. Feels awesome and i really love it. I will deffinately go for the full job if i can get a slight problem sorted.
I hammered a few country roads and understandably the fuel went from 320 miles left to 230 in not a very long time at all. Only problem is i nipped out this morning and filled the tank again. It took 15 quid to refill but the computer said that it only had 260 miles left when full as opposed to the normal 380 when full. Does the computer take into account how you have been driving previously or is it a standard.
A big thanks in advance to anyone who can shed any light on my query
Ben

trip takes time to adjust fella, if you have been driving it likes its stolen the night before and then have the urban crawl to the station it will base the range on that  :happy2:

Yes the miles remaining are based on how you've driven. I took the car for a hard spin a year back, averaging 18-19mpg or so. Filled up the tank and it gave 280 mile range. But since i had a slow motorway journey, it very quickly changed to 380 miles remaining.

It is all based on your driving style. Judicious driving will get you 400 miles but then why buy a GTI?

Jesus, it normally says 380?!

I don't think I've ever seen mine say 280 let alone 380!

On the topic of Revo, do they ever have any offers or discounts for a reduction?
