Title: Where To Get Short Rear Reg Plates For Private Number Plate?

As above got a S3 *** plate for the car but want a shorter plate for the rear saw someone on a forum with 370mm x 110mm which looks perfect but have no idea where to buy them from. Looked loads of the internet but aint come across anything any ideas?

are smaller plates like that legal?  Just if you have a 5 digit plate then I wondered if your likely to get police attention.  I used to have one years ago and never had any problems - just wondering as I may put one on the front on the mini  :wink:

as long as the spacing and border is correct they are legal :happy2:

when you say border you just mean distance from letter to plate edge? 

So the importany bit really is the border then.

[taken from DVLA web]
Your number plate should show the correct:

•character height - 79 millimetres
•character width - 50 millimetres (except the figure 1 or letter I)
•character stroke - 14 millimetres
•space between characters - 11 millimetres
•space between groups - 33 millimetres
•top, bottom and side margins - minimum 11 millimetres
•space between vertical lines - 19 millimetres

yes its the same as a normal plate but you have less digits so its smaller :happy2:

Any other ideas? tried Halfords after someone said but they dont know anything as always

Just buy off ebay or something, will arive 2 days late and wont cost more than a tenner!

Sorted Halfords in Huddersfield but has to be special order, got the front plate just waiting for the rear
