Which radio are you replacing and what age is the car?
-
I'm replacing a RCD-500 and my golf is a 2007 / 57 reg MY08. And the RNS-510 is a version C .
-
Then you need the double adapter :happy2:
-
ok Thank you very much.
-
Would I definitely need to order this part or does the original wiring not fit straight onto the back of the unit?
-
IIRC my RNS510 was a different connector and I definitely needed this :happy2:
-
And this is regardless if its an early 2004 mk5 golf or a 2009 mk5 golf?
-
You dont need the adapter, there are 2 aerials in plastic connectors, take one of them out of the connecter and plug it into rns-510 and then the other will fit in its plastic connector. Or, you can take them both out. if you google it, you will find most people use this method!

Is this the other option?
I'm interested to know if you plug the biege and white connectors into the white connector leads coming from the dash?
It's an antenna adaptor from VW. Part no. 7L6051551 VW quoting £28
