Title: Bottle opener for Edition 30
Post by: Kiwi on September 04, 2010, 06:28:10 pm

Nice my bottle opener, divider for the drinks holder was missing, so I popped down to VW, for a cost on replacement, I then laughed and left.

The cost was £22 + Vat for a little piece of metal, day light robbery.

When i got my Ed30, its came with two bottle openers - a silver one in the recess and a black one in the divider position (that you can adjust depending on the size of the cup. Is this normal, anybody else have 2 or have i just been fortunate?

I had two in the ED30 but i bought the black one myself, your just lucky that the last owner or even the dealers didnt take them out, i took mine out of the golf when i P/X it, which was handy as i put them in the Rocco when i added the covered cup holder  :happy2:

I thought you were meant to have only one? I know the earlier MK5s came with a metal one whereas the later ones came with a black-plastic coated one.

^^^ I think you're right, the black plastic coated ones are the newer version ones. I got 8 of them off ebay for £6.70 delivered, just incase I lose one

Cheapest on ebay at the moment is £3.50 delivered. Search for 'VW bottle opener'.
