Title: Stage 1 or DSG Re map ? or both?

Hi Guys

I have a GTI 2.0T DSG  and am considering the stage 1 remap,

do i need to get the DSG remap or just the standard stage 1 or both?  how does it work?

If it is one or the other what would the benefits of each be over the other?

I just had my car re-mapped recently. DSG and engine re-map.

You can just re-map the engine for power increase, you don't need to have the DSG mapped if you don't want to. However, I would highly reccommend you do. It transforms the car in it's own right. Makes manual mode a whole lot better. You get more control over it and no kick-down. You can hold gear through corners. Just makes it a whole lot more driveable. It lets you use the power better.

Having said that, you can get it done later.  :happy2:
