Title: some way to highlight important info for group buys etc

we have a section for the santa pod event which is great
The blueflame GB had started and I wasnt even aware of it.

Suggest a  small section on main summary page maybe at the bottom for "Current group buys" , "News" , "Latest events" etc under a general heading?
Dunno where Im going with this but as the forum gets bigger, its getting harder to see some new stuff perhaps.

Just a thought

Perhaps it'd be an idea to have each running group buy to be prefixed with "Current: GB on exhausts" or "Finished: GB on CF badges" to indicate which ones are still active?

I see where you are coming from John_o.  :smiley:

The only standard option we have is the news fader at the top of the forum home page (where the Santa Pod thread links is at present).

I am still playing around with a portal type page to go on top of the main forum that would allow of this kind of stuff to be more visible, but most people would still jump straight to the main forum sections anyway.

Surely scanning through 'posts since last visit' would kinda cover most of this off?  :happy2:

I don't use that function!

Give it a try Stealth, it's a good way of scanning through when you have limited time  :happy2:

also GB should NOT be visiable to guests.just thought id point that out  :smiley:
