I have a golf mk5 gti 2007 in tornado red paint and it chips so easly. Does any one else have the same prob? I had a mk4 gti in the same colour and its paint was much better. I have had to get the two front wings sprayed to take the bad look away.

Mine is 07 edition 30 in tornado red and that is picking up so many stone chips, so your not alone.
-
Thanks good to know. I would not buy another gti in that colour again.
-
Had mine a day and it was a trip to buy touch up paint for the rock hit on the bonnet.

-
you won't want to hear this but 98k miles and very few stonechips on a 55 plate, :happy2:
-
05 Reg , 37K miles , about 4 or 5 barely noticeable chips on the whole car , I guess I was lucky when I bought it!
-
57 with 30k on the clock, and no problems at all, 08 with 35 on the clock and more chips than an extra value meal
-
06 plate with 50k miles and the bonnet is covered in stone chips. I think it's mainly due to my high speed driving because the stones hit harder!
-
05 black 70k miles and a front end respray to get rid of stone chips
-
05 model with 55K. Few chips but nothing major and not really anything on the wings. A red CTR, now thats easy stone chipping!
-
have to agree the paint on the honda's especially red is terrible, stone chip city, best way to deal with it keep a distance behind the car in front and steer clear of motor bikes.....
Mine is not bad at all due to hte distance i stay behind other cars, especially on the motorway!
