Still ugly but with added M badge to kick you in the wallet.
-
True - still ugly but same insurance group than our mk5's at a 17 too for a 3.0 litre twin turbo is tempting!
-
Booooo! M version still sags in the middle

Here speaks the man who has bought the car Alan Partridge used to drive  Next it'll be a pair of crochet back driving gloves
-
Possible replacement for the Ed30 for me. Still to drive one though so that'll be the decider.. Quick map and 360 ponnies, so should go well and I think I would leave it at that.. Well maybe..

What for?
Save your money and remap the 135i. Makes it just a tad quicker by all accounts

Damn site better looking than the BMW "sagmobile" though.
Oh, and have you been stalking me? How do you know about my new gloves? :signLOL:
-
I have driven a fair few of these and mapped even more...... Great car just watch out for newer ones that are actually single turbo! The twin turbo engine is brilliant. I was so close to buying one but then saw sense and bought a 335d which is far more practical, cheaper to run and insure and put out 348bhp and 600ft/lb after a fair bit of dyno work and mapping.
-
The engine is a peach 3 Ltr Stright 6 Bi-Turbo (they put the twin turbo's into one double sided unit) should map to around 400hp but kiss your warranty goodbye. BMW do performance parts for 135 & 335 which I'm looking at.
On the 135 they have also just included a bucket and brown paper bag as standard. :signLOL:

Not all are the twin (or Bi) turbo as later engines were revised to be single turbo. Juts be sure to double check. and then buy a 335
-
Apparently it gives better MPG than 2 individual turbos, started on the face lift 335 from May 2010. Amazingly I have seen 40mpg :happy2:

-
The later ones are a twin scroll single turbo.
Shall I post a picture of my White BMW......
And ive never seen 40 mpg out of my 335d, well done Neil getting it out of the i!
-
Oh and I've driven the 123d coupe and it was great fun
-
335d coupe in white would be my car of choice but its ridiculously expensive!
I guess you get what you pay for eh boys! :signLOL:
-
The newer single turbo 335i or 135i s also are the cheaper tax class too so that will save ya a couple of hundred a year.
Tbh if I was paying the high tax band i would be for the m3 and not the 335i but the newer single turbos are very tempting, deffo can't go faster for the 245 squid tax category !
-
I had a 356 bhp 335d followed by a 406 bhp 135i for about 10 months... What do you wanna know?
Matt
-
i neeeeeerly brought one! before the S3 but it was the running costs and lack of room in them that put me off! very very fast tho! def put a smile on my face!!

Yeah but thats like saying get a TTS dsg and a map instead of a TTRS
-
Yeah but I'm not a hairdresser so wouldn't ever be driving a TiTteRS :innocent:
-
Nothing in particular Matt. Just the overall + and - of the car really....
The TTRS as nice as they are, i just don't have my clippers and scissors anymore to
put in the passenger seat!!!! :signLOL:

Something i'm looking into at the minute when I get the S3 sorted! Evolve Stage 4 = 420 BHP of RWD laughter :driver: :driver: :driver:

i could go and put a nice deposit on one tomorrow and get the rest on finance but i just couldnt bring myself to do it because as fast as they may be,its still an Audi TT.
I have hair clippers, but thats merely to shave my head
id get the RS3 though, that will be a MAN's car
-
every time, this car comes up we seem to be split :signLOL: i love em and think a future classic, dont know what its called but some have a thin silver stripe down and i love it, but i do like decals! :P
