Title: Strange question, but any tips on removing double sided pads from a number plate
Post by: JPW on September 10, 2010, 12:20:04 pm
I pick up my GTI later today :jumpmove: and wondered if anyone has any tips for removing the adhesive pads use to hold number plates on?

The problem is that I used several of these on the plates on my old car and whilst I have removed them from the car I would like to remove all of the pads to fit these onto the Golf.

I have tried a hairdryer, vinegar and also soaking in hot water, but had no joy yet

Mer or Autoglym Resin Polish also does the trick but will involve some elbow grease.. :happy2:

Just did mine yesterday & put tar remover all over them & came off easy. Bought it from cleanyourcar.co.uk
