Hi Guys

excuse my ignorance  :confused:

but can anyone help me understand the difference between a front spoiler and splitter,

pictures would be great.

Umm shot in the dark but

Splitter-Splits the air and directs it under/over the car in a smooth flow

Spoiler-Directs air completely away from a surface

A spoiler is a more general term and includes roof and rear applications. A splitter is more specifically a frontal application. < That's my interpretation.

If your referring specifically to a MK5 GTI they are both one in the same but some people call them spoiler and some a splitter. (rightly or wrongly  :laugh: )  :happy2:
