Got my Log Book yesterday and was wondering should it have GTI on it next to VW Golf.
All the RS's I have had in the past has had the model on it i.e Escort RS2000, but there is no mention of GTI on my log book.
Should it be there?

Mine states "Golf GTi Auto"

Mine says '' GOLF GTI EDITION30 230''
Don't really remember it ever having only 230bhp though!
-
Mine also says " GOLF GTI EDITION30 230 SA"
I guess the SA is for Semi Automatic.

It all depends on what the dealer wrote when the first registered the car.
If the dealer couldn't be arsed, putting in all the detail, then this is why log books have little or know real detail of the car. With all log books you can amend th details about the car at no cost, and get a fresh log book sent back to you if it really bothers you that much.
Again this is the difference in service between a good dealer and a average dealer.

Mine simply says Golf GTI
