On an iPhone there is an app for calling 0870 and 0845 numbers free too.

Post by: Ifti on September 16, 2010, 10:59:23 am: I use an app called 'Numberstore' on my iPhone - you just dial the 0800 etc number as normal, and it'll do a quick search and ring the standard rate number instead.
Works great.

There is also a website www.saynoto0870.com - that can also find the local version of any 0800/087 etc number, or will find numbers by simply searching for the company name.

Having an app that will try and find one automatically is one step better IMO.
