I was scared to start but did! 4 hrs of mcqiuars carefull claying , and the same time for Autoglym polish, I T-cut the alloys and then sprayed them with Autoglym alloy sealent a couple of weeks ago, happy with the results

Looks good :happy2: can beat a bit claying, did my brothers car a few weeks back and the crud that came of it :happy2:.
-
Great results :happy2:
Looks fab.
-
Great job there mate :congrats: Claying really does make one hell of a difference :happy2:

The first time I clayed my car (not the golf!), I needed to use both bars that came with Megs Smooth Surface kit. That's essentially four bars to do a whole car! Each was one jet black by the end!
Looking very good. Love white cars when they're clean. Look almost as awesome as black cars
What did you use to protect the paintwork after claying and polishing?
Why T-cut the alloys?
-
:congrats: looking good - clayed, polished and waxed mine last w/e.
-
Very nice job, like it alot
-
Cheers guys, I T-cut the alloys as the brake dust was pritty bad, the T-cut helped remove it very well, I have some Mcquiars wax to seal the paint but will have to wait for my elbows to recover! winter is not here so have time for another polish and seal.

That looks good, i've had a megs clay bar for ages but haven't had the guts to attack my paint with it yet.........must give it a go soon :ashamed:
-

Try the Megs Clay kit :happy2: Very good product. Highly Recommended. Link below (probably cheaper at your local motor accessory shop though)

Yip thats the very kit that I used, although I have polished again and used the wax to finish off with, very rewarding! If its your first time go for it you will find it easy enough, I got geat pointers from this forum :happy2: and Youtube as well.
