Can anyone recommend a good vag com unit so
I can do some prgeammjng of my own. There are again cheap ones in eBay but then there are more expensive ones. So in confused.

The original, proper VCDS cable is made by ross-tech. They go for £200-250 brand new. There may be someone selling one secondhand. Anything cheaper and it's probably a fake and unlikely to work, or required an older, cracked version of the software. There have been a few forumites who've bought the cheapo ones and then had to buy the proper ones.
