I'd be interested to know how much the Scuderia software improves the gearbox?
I've driven a standard Modena F1 and the shift was hopelessly bad...
-
Your welcome to it Joe, it does nothing for me!

Same here, I drove one a couple of years ago and the DSG box in the lowly Golf knocked it into a cocked hat by comparison - and that was before I had the DSG software.
-
I drove one on one of these event days and have to say I couldnt have been more dissappointed, the whole car was cack.
gearchange lurch was woeful. ok I may have had a bad 360 , but it killed the 360 rose tinted glasses I had :fighting:
bring on the 458 :notworthy:

If I was buying a Fezzer, I'd want an unmolested one, without bolt on wings, repainted spoilers and such.

X2 - £40k on a car it would be brand new (unless i could find an Aston Martin Vanquish S for £40k )
-
£40k would see me running all the way down South to pick this up.
Sloo! (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1855540.htm)

^^^^ Absolutely stunning :notworthy:. But it's £2,000 (less a fiver) over the £40k budget.
-
^^^ Bet if you waved £40k in cash under his hooter though he would take it
-
I know you don't like haggling, Robin - but I could have that for under £40k for certain.
-
I reckon this could be had for £40k

That ferrari is awful, regarding 360's generally I've had an opportunity to drive one a few times and on each occasion its been nearly 40 minutes before everything got warm and driver adjusted to the car - must admit when you first get in them they're cack but do "come" to you over time..
When they do they make an awful lot of sense imvho....plus that 8k V8 sound with a sports exhaust
-
meh! id still have the 360, (maybe not over a gt3 though!)
-
.
This is the 'Ferrari' I would have:

-
Now that would be funny at the Traffic Light Grand Prix
-
@ Carl:
I think it would be a whole lotta fun absolutely everywhere! I'd seriously love to have one (with of course a better interior, LED DRL's, and my Italian air horns) but I think they cost about £50k. :happy2:
-
Im sure it would RR.
But it would just be hilarious to pull up next to some twonk in his Subaru and him look at you thinking "what's this idiot doing in his chavved up Postman Pat van. I'll show him"
Then when you left him standing his face would be :surprised: :surprised:
-
The only time I would spend so much on a car is after I had cleared my mortgage!!
At the moment, if I had a spare £40k, I'd stick the whole lot straight into the mortgage!
-
I have in my eye a V8 Vantage for that money
-
.
Hmm, I'm thinking that one can find all sorts of cars for £40k if 'previously used', including some exotica. But what would folks here buy new if they had a £40k budget?
-
£40k budget for a new car hmmmmm..
It would be a choice between
Audi S5
Audi A6 3.0 TFSi S Line Special Edition Avant
-
Assuming practicality isn't an issue I'd buy a Lotus Exige 240 Cup.
Certainly not an Audi :signLOL:
-
Hmm
If it was my only car a BMW 1M or maybe a Jag XF.
2nd car I'd be looking at Porsche, Lotus... basically silly, 2 seats & RWD.
-
Certainly not an Audi :signLOL:
Each to their own :drinking:
I like to travel fast but in comfort :driver:
-
Old school V8 RS6+ and sling the rest at my mortgage.
-
Id infact get this!!! :driver: :driver:

Not a Golf R :signLOL:

im with u on that 1 joe :happy2:
-
Smart A5 would be nice, quite like the look of them.
But if it was car only money and had to be new I wouldnt rule out a Golf R or spec'd S3. Depends who's money were talking about
-
^^^^
If new, a RS3 might meet the £40k budget.
-
*might* but probably not
